Can we agree a bee isn’t just a bee? It’s a signal. A signal that tells us about our health, our planet, and even our future.
In their relative silence, bees are surprisingly loud. They’re telling us about the fragility of our ecosystem, about the delicate balance we’ve disrupted. And yet, we often choose not to listen.
Bees don’t just make honey; they make life. Much of what we eat depends on their unseen, often unappreciated work. No bees, no pollination. No pollination, no fruits or vegetables.
And here’s the paradox: it turns out, the world that’s dangerous for bees is dangerous for us too. What we do to them, we do to ourselves.
So, the question isn’t what we can do for the bees. It’s what can we stop doing that’s harming them – and us?
Maybe it’s time we listen to what the bees are telling us.

Bees aren’t the only pollinators. In fact, they’re a minority of the pollinators

Thanks very much – yes, whoever would have thought. That’s the thing with nature, it’s worth putting pen to paper. 30 years ago – how scary is that! Simon.

“This is punchy. Can we develop similar materials for Kenyans?”
