A tortoise (and terrapin and sea-turtle) day in Cambridge, Sunday 2nd March. All welcome!
The 2025 BCG (British Chelonia Group) Spring Symposium will take place on Sunday 2nd March at Homerton College, Cambridge – see attached poster and: http://www.britishcheloniagroup.org.uk/events/spring-symposium-2025
The day promises, as always, to be both educational and fun, with lots of interesting people attending and an excellent programme of events. The emphasis will be on chelonians (tortoises, terrapins and sea-turtles) but speakers will refer to other aspects of conservation and animal welfare and studies overseas.
John and Margaret Cooper start the proceedings on the Sunday morning with a joint lecture about their work with tortoises and terrapins in Kenya and they later run the CPD (Continuing Professional Development). The latter will comprise a practical (interactive) session for veterinary surgeons and nurses, biologists, students and keen amateur herpetologists. Much fun is had and each registered CPD participant receives a certificate.
John and Margaret Cooper.
